Malaka has been at Axiom Arabians since summer 2009.
I was very excited to get her here. My intention was to breed her to HR Hasims Legacy. History on Malaka was that she was afraid of stallions. She had artificial insemination once, but had been successful producing a foal. She is 14 years old and has not had a foal.
Malaka and Legacy are both 3 generations pure in strain Saqlawi Jidren IBN Sudan. Breeding these two would produce a 4 generation pure in strain foal. Not only was this exciting but they both had strong Negem and Faddan in their pedigrees.
Malaka spent most of the summer recuperating from her trip here and getting accustom to the stallions. She was allowed to run free and visit the stallions over the fence daily. She became more and more confident as the summer went on.
She was placed with the stallions on occasion when she was not cycling. She handled this very well with out a problem. Finally at the very end of the summer I decided to try and put her with Legacy while she was cycling. At least it would be good practice. Legacy bred her and she stood for him no problem. Legacy bred her for three days. And guess what..........................

Malaka has a handicap.
Malaka has only one eye. She was kicked as a foal and has been like this her whole life. After you know her a while it seems very unnoticable. She is very beautiful and has a wonderful funny personality.
